Orange Zest

I'm always fascinated by closeup photography, macros in particular, and while this doesn't classify as macro, it's a clear enough shot where I can see the intricate details of this orange flower, particularly the water droplets. The blur around the main flower in this shot draw the viewer's attention more to itself but it also adds a nice background to the image. The exposure is also commendable as it seems that you've used the natural light of the sun, and at the right time of day, to take this shot.

One major problem that I have with this particular image is the face that I can easily see some of the image's compression artifacts. I'm not sure if this is due to the original settings on your camera or how you've uploaded the image. If it wasn't for that, I'd say that this was done with professional grade equipment and it would also have a much greater impact.
